V6 auto hilux problems

hey kids
got a few problems
with my hilux it's got a commo v6 and its has a little problem.
it idles fine but when i put it in gear it die's.
anyone know what it might be?

is it just that the idle rpm is too low?

do you think the problem is electrical or mechanical?

disconect all power then reconect take to 3000 rpm for 1 min see if this helps

i don't think it's a case of low fuel pressure because it idles fine and will rev happily in park. as for the injectors i'm not sure

hmm, i feel like a total dumb ass
just spoke to roc70y and he told me how the ECU error sensor works (i was reading it wrong) and code error 33 comes up which is the MAP sensor circuit which may have been damaged on the trip back from QLD. i'll pick up another one tomorrow and see how it goes.

Another thing to check is the vacuum hose between the manifold and MAP sensor. Pull it off and make sure there are not leaks.

just checked it and the vacuum line had come off. put it back on and it seems to have fixed the problem. the diganostic light is still showing it up the be a fault. do you have to disconnect the battery to reset the ECU?

yes, usually you have to disconnect it for a few minutes to reset it.

now that it is fixed you can drive it to WERock tonight!
