comp rig questions

thinking of building a lux comp rig. will it need to be regested to compete in most comps? also is there any other regulations that i should no about before i start?
94 twin cab hilux, 3'' spring, 2'' body, 37'' sticky treps, front & rear air lockers, rockhopper gears.

curently doing the same thing. Most comps down here require your vehicle to meet CCDA regulations.

thanks i think ill keep payen the rego. does anyone know laws about chopping (bobtailing) the chassis behind the rear hangers?

I'm assuming you mean behind the rear shackle mount?

If so (on mine anyway) there is no crossmember that you would be removing, therefore most engineers would not have a problem with this.

That aside if you cut the chassis and rounded the edges it would look factory wouldn't it? :twisted:
