Is that just a scam? would it go on a 1987 sierra?

Or is it just some bullshit thing?

ALSO, seat belts... i want ones that retract, so there a bit safer and can fit all people without adjusting all the time.. Should i just get these from a smashed up car at the wreckers? and what price am i looking at.

Seatbelts. what year is yours?

I was going to get them for mine but the panel where the retractor on mine (85' NT) was not there and it is welded panel. So i got a set off one at a wreckers. Be carefull they don't come off a crashed one. Mine were off a rusted out one so were still ok. They say they fatique in crashes??

Also the retractor ones don't like angles for putting on and off.

All im saying is dont bother....

get a SC12 or preferable SC14 of a 1GGZE toyota and fab up sum mounts toi fit that, it will scream on any 1.3 or 1.6L sierra motor

Anthony P, how much will that cost?... does your engine need to be EFI to have a supercharge? what can i do to a carb engine to get more out of it..

You got some spares or something..
Any seatbelts be better then what i got at moment.. i think they would snap.. no idea how they passed safety check at dealers

they were a bit dodge so i dont think it went to one.. they refused to show me the paper work of the "3 hour" safety check

Scrounge a wrecker for seatbelts from a WT sierra(>88). These are retractable and bolt in. There is a large panel unde the b pillar area of a sierra with 4 large screws holding it in. If you remove them, there is a cavity in here and this is where the inertia reel sits. I have converted a few sierras from fixed belts to intertia reel.

Sometimes this panel has been hacked up to fit speakers so it might not be so obvious.

well it all depends on how much work and fabbing you can do yourself

you can get the Superchargers for 200-350 dollars from most Jap import shops
piping/plumbing (talk to a exhaust shop) about $300
fabin of a mount and findin a belt to fit $100-$500 (this one can really vary depending on your car and where you wanna put the charger, and how much work you wanna do yourself)

I know a guy who done all the work him self and including the cost of the charger he had completed it all in under $400 and that included $80 for a blow off valve.

U dont need EFI for a supercharger setup (in fact its prob easier on a carb engine) and you will get fair gains from using these at around 5-7lb boost

dont know how long engines will last for though

just make sure you do as people have said and stay right away form these electric chargers.

Bunbury. yes there is. Try a truck and 4x4 wreckers in the industrial bit. they had about 3 sierras there about 3 weeks ago.

No spares from me. thats why i bought newer ones.

Gwagon: Mine does have the screw in panel. press welded in. May be a difference between the drovers and the sierras.

Nah, Greg's intertia reel belts from his hardtop WT (90?) swapped stright into the 85 drover tub, just by screwing them into the cavity at the base of the B pillar after removing the cover plate. My 86 LWB is the same. Can't comment on 1.0 litres though.

mine had hz kingswood inertia reels when i bought it, replaced the lot with fixed ones from the back of a swb 86 jackaroo for $25.
no more 'click click click these fscking seatbelts aaaarrrrgh!' etc
inertia reels are more convenient i guess, but no-one drives my car but me, and i dont care if passengers have to adjust the belt.
easily outweighed by the convenience of not locking the belt reels on slopes.

ps my 1lt tinny doesnt have the panel.

the SC12 would be plenty for the 1.3 same as the SC14 would be plenty for the 1.6.

Just fit a blow off valvue and use the original electronic activation (pulley)

run a switch to the cabin and when you want sum boost you hit it

SC12 is plenty for any 4cyl upto 2ltr. The SC14 will do any bigger 4cyl or 6cyl upto 3.5ltrs.
