just reading how hard some of you are working to get comp ready by the weekend. It shows how dedicated you are to get the sprt moving in oz, and it should be a fanbloodytastic weekend.

Although i dont have a comp vehicle to compete ( nuf probs keeping the daily driver on the road), my friends and i will be supporting the sport the only way we can at the mo and thats to turn up and spectate like theres no tomorrow....... one sleep to go!!!!!!!!!

I'm still waiting for my last axel shaft to be splined... then have to install, throw the jp on a trailer and drive for about 14 hours...

Guess we will arrive around 5-6am.

Top work Shane, great to hear it came together for you in the end !!!!!

We'll be leaving about 6.30pm today, with Tiny kindly towing the buggy for me with the GU so we can fill the 80 up with camping gear.

Ok guys, i have some bad news,I will not be competeing at this round.

After working my :bad-words: off for the past 2 weeks basically building a new buggy,We had it finished at around 2am this morning.
Took it for a drive out my work drive way to make sure everything was ok.Everything was going great until BANG...The new transfer mounts that we used that we thought would have been bloody strong,Let go and sent the t/case up through the floor off the buggy.
In doing this jamming the t/case in between gears,so we had no drive...
Got it back into my workshop and pulled it all out to fix the problem.
Ended up having to completely dis-assemble the t/case to un-jam it and then we had to try and come up with some new mounts...
But in the end time got the best off us.

I'm so dis-appointed that this happened....
I will be still be heading out there to lend a hand in anyway possible....

Good luck to all the guys that made it there to compete...

Shorty40: Should have asked ya if ya were interested in going... Had a spare seat as well.

Didn't realise that there was anyone from Wagga on list.
Took me 5 hours to get there on friday arvo, and 7 hours to get back (1am this morning)

Didn't see Cheezy in action - he didn't run at all on Saturday. But certainly looks sweet.

First piccy of that chromed tube buggy (Impact Offroad), also looks sweet, however if I was an engineer, I'd tell the young bloke to built it to go back to welding school. I should have taken a photo of some of the welds - think most blokes would laugh at the welding. Yes, I realise that it is unfinished, however I wouldnt exactly be putting those quality of welds on show for peeps to see.
looked like somthing inspired from mad max heheh

my understanding is jermey is a mechanic, i remember one of my old tafe teachers teaching a mechanics trade class how to weld... he passed them all as long as they could tack... so that said at least he's had a go

he can always get better

Many apologies to all. (Where is my shovel to start digging.)
A public apology to Jeremy - how can I take what I said back?
I guess it came out wrong. After re-reading it now, it isn't exactly how I wanted it to come out. I guess when I wrote that it was just too early in the morning - with an hours sleep after driving 7 hours from WE Rock and having no coffee, I just wasn't thinking correctly.

Again, apologies.

(Anyway that the above said slander post can be deleted?)
