First piccy of that chromed tube buggy (Impact Offroad), also looks sweet, however if I was an engineer, I'd tell the young bloke to built it to go back to welding school. I should have taken a photo of some of the welds - think most blokes would laugh at the welding. Yes, I realise that it is unfinished, however I wouldnt exactly be putting those quality of welds on show for peeps to see.

Didnt they know what they were getting into when putting a comp on at bathurst in the middle of winter. It was windy and little drissel and 4 degrees at portland when i was fishing this mourning, thats what they would have been getting aswell.

Awsome recovery from Tony (Ruff) Totally on its side in a trench basically , and im sure it actually went past the 90 Deg piont for a moment , Im telling the missus hope he gets it back quick , or we,ll here some clunking from the donk in a moment !!
But lots of side lube on the cylinders heaps of smoke and back on all four !! I dig stuff like that

Exellent drives by all the guys , The new Moon buggy looks and works great, !!

i had the best time there even tho bart and i drove a total of 7hrs to watch 3hrs of we rock driving...
it was fukn colded there..... i was next to the fire and still couldnt feel my fingers.....

next yr i think ill drive there early saterday and camp the night..

Well I thought the weekend was well worth the trip. Good BBQ, nice bloody cold weather, slight touch of rain. Ok it was great, loved the buggies and great courses as this is my first I'm eager to watch more challengers. It was however interesting getting out in a lowered mates commodore, if the fourbies had trouble then what hope have we got.

got there late saturday arvo and had a blast.

great driving by all the guys, TOM, top drive on event 3 and 4 today excellent effort. pitty didnt get a chance to catch up with ya.

i hung back this arvo with Tiny and Jeremy to help get the buggy loaded up and trailered out, effort and a half but well worth it.
Was fun trying to get out the driveway at 7pm tonight....... lots of slippery mud, GQ loves it

with regards to the welding comment..... who cares wat it looks like, if its strong thats all that matters... taking note that jeremy isnt a welder. he is a mechanic trying something new, and in my opinion his buggy is very impressive. different.

ive had him weld all the final welding on my rig and would get him to do it again, came up very well and i wont get failed by the engineer for the welds.

anyways was good to catch up with alot of Outers guys, look forward to next time

Bushy, I towed Jeremy's buggy up and we were dissapointed when we heard that there were comments regarding the welding on the buggy after receiving some SMS's when we reached Bathurst.....1.5hrs to get from the camp site to the main dirt road but when Jeremy heard it was you he felt better as he holds you in fairly high regard. Let me say in regardsa to the welds, I have sliders from Jeremy that cop an absolute flogging and are certainly not going to break! despite putting a monumental effort to get it looking as good as possible for ABT ( brought up on there request due to ABT gear on it NOT TO ADVERTISE IMPACT OFFROAD) it is still unfinnished and I am certainly 200% confident that the end product will be immaculate and be a memorable and competent rig (built from scratch and different) can I suggest maybe a quick PM to the person nest time to voice any concerns you may have would be more helpfull.

All in all the event was great and some top drives by many especially Tom and wel done to him for continuing in such a manner after the misfortune that founf him on Friday night.

Congrats to Adrian, top effort and I am very impressed with the moon buggy, looking forward to seing some more on the feild.

Sorry if this has come across wrong but I just got home and I am stuffed...might have to check it in the morning

i came from adelaide, via melbourne, i'm in melbourne this morning, heading back to adelaide tomorrow, but that was well worth the drive.

the homeless was sweet. simple and effective. moon buggy was just mind blowing, ruff's drive on the final stage was awesome and antunec drove the big truck well...

great company, great driving. but sheesh even the mexicans were complaining about the cold. the drive out in the comodoor was fun too. bring on round 3

Yes that was the old lockless, I don't know who was driving it. Scotty (83) was spotting for him though. He broke a hub on saturday and put the upper link through the oil filter so he didn't compete yesterday.

we knew it was going to be a tops weekend when no sooner had we set up camp fri nite we were ambushed by gonads/fergo etc and got stuck into some of the best homebrew ive tasted. (Good stuff fergo you crazy man)

congrats to the competitors, especially the ones who went through hell and high water to get there.

I left about 2.30 sun arvo but didnt leave the property gates till over an hour later due to some shenanigans on the road out (think CREB track!!) there was a bit of a hold up;
did anyone drive up the last ledge (got footage????) Does anyone have vid footage of the moon buggy flip back upright under power on the 4th stage; that was awesome

Thepatroldude, you shoulda had no probs getting out with all those heavy subs in the boot. Like i said sat nite all you Hills boys are the same (Doofdoofdoof) Heheheheh

if it was a bit warmer and didnt rain sun then i reckon there would have been 1000+ more speckies turn up. Once again congrats to the organisers for there effort.

Also congrats to Super-Nam and his team. Seemed to have a solid no-nonsense truck built , these guys did fantastic. Im prob wrong, but I guess these guys are new to the sport and it gives some of us spectators a gee-up to follow suit and take the step up to build and compete.
