SNOWY MOUNTAINS CHALLENGE, Cooma AUG 2006 - for the Diary

Post by Silvamav »

Snowy Mountains Challenge, Cooma

Brindabella 4WD Club hosting this inaugural 4WD Challenge at the foot of the Snowy Mountains, 19-21 August.

This is a club event run under the CCDA Class C specifications. CCDA rules will apply and the maximum tyre diameter is 38".

It is tough. It will require precision driving. It will test your winches.
It will tire your winch man. It will be a great fun weekend!

Can you survive up to 10 Special Stages over three days?

4WD access only but trailers can be left at the gate.
You need to BYO everything.
Take home your rubbish.

Competitor entry $140.00 per car.

Spectator entry $20.00 each.

First stage 7.00pm Friday evening

If you want more info, pm or send emails to: brindiranges@gmail.com
or call 0419 572 871

The Brindabella club had a club day and ran some of the tracks-we drove most but some have winch only sections-good variety from rock crawling, hill climb and timed runs. Have some video as well-will look to post it soon.

One Week To Go!

There is still room for competitor entry for those wanting to compete on extreme winchin tracks.

Remember that whinch competition is a must for this property. The tracks are not suited to a first time winch challenge competitor.

PM me or phone 0419 572 871 for more details and entry forms.

good roll up of spectators and vehicles. 1st year run and it went well.Next year will be bigger but there will be a limit on the number of entrants-probably no more than 30.
The photos can be deceptive-with a time limit on each stage it was fast enough!
