flopped (gased it and nearly keept it on its wheels but flopped) and him and his navi lifted it onto wheels

they had to be the smallest competiors they got a huge roar when it landed back on its wheels

he also done a cv saturday

I got POS`s Saturday arvo roll perfectly on camera, there is about 6 pics from before it started rolling to being on his roof in the hole, only problem is I was using Ruff and Kates camera ATM. So you will just have to wait for Ruff to post em up.

Cheezy didn`t get to do Saturdays stages as he didn`t get there untill about 3pm on Saturday as he was still building his buggy at 10pm Friday night in Melbourne

Then when he unloaded it off the trailer relised he wasn`t get 4wd. After a closer look the hubs hadn`t been put back together correctly and there were parts missing (somebody helping didn`t know GQ hubs and left bits out) after borrowing hubs parts off Gonads tow rig and rebuilding the hubs correctly his buggy was ready to run. Sadly the 1st 2 stages were finished by this time and then it just got to dark to do the 3rd one. He ended up doing the 3 stages on Sunday.

If you want to know here about somebody putting in the hours to get his buggy finished then Cheezy is the one to here about. I think just by the time it was when he finaly got there should tell the story. But 72hrs before the event his buggy was nothing but a bare frame and other then 2 days the whole buggy was built AFTER HOURS.

thanks to all the support everyone gave our little team throughout the weekend. big mentions have to go to dozoor (big big thanks), tom and somebody else (whose name escapes me). thanks you guys for helping me get my car back together. sunday really made us feel good about the whole weekend. also thanks to tony for the cv (money is the mail

)and sam overton for looking after my misplaced camera. quang said to say thanks to sam keck for the spotting advice. thanks to bbm rick for the jump start to the buggy, jeremy for the tools, shayne for the jack, foxy for the dvd and smokey fire, rob for the optima (you're a lifesaver). it was really cool to meet so many people.

I had a great weekend. The road trip was almost as much fun as the comp.

Thanks Sam for the opportunity to judge and time for the weekend. I had a good time doing it and learnt alot.

Tom did great. I think when his moon buggy is done he will be one to watch out for. Just has to watch the right foot a bit.

On and off the track

Congrats to adrian for a good drive in his first comp with the moon buggy. Very controlled.

Good work tony. Always good to watch.

I hope I can find the cash to come to round three.

Had an awsum weekend though i will admit that competing is more fun than the running around.
Congrates to Sam O for another good event.
My Dad would like to thank every one for cleaning up after yourselves as he went round to clean up to day and said he was lucky to fill one garbage bag so Thankyou to all. He can't wait for the next one.
Adrian's buggy was awsum to see and made most the courses look easy and once the bugs are sorted i think will be very hard to catch. Cangrat to Pete for getting that big Yellow POS round the tracks.

For me the highlight of the weekend though was NAM's drive,roll,recover and finish it had the crowd pumping and was just awsum.

I Appoligise for the recovering on some stages as it was hard to keep getting the trusty old Vit from one side to the other and held up the courses a little. After blowing up my transfer during the week and having to use a standard transfer with no gearing it was very hard tp pull cars and subsaquently had to winch everyone whish was slow.Will have a better sysetem next time.

Thanks for all the spectators and competitors for the support.
I hope we can stay as a venue for future We rock events in the future.

We will be running another event hopefully towards the end of September but will confirm when the time gets closer.

Had a PISSA of a time .

got nearly 2 full tapes of footage which DAZ is burning to DVD

so that should be great. OK OK it was me that spewed but to take into consideration that between me and RODGERS man man with the DARKESTtan we drank 6 light stubbies on the way up from Albury then 6 more heavys when we got there at 11.30 pm. next day filmed til about 3pm then started drinking while filming then when all coarses were over, we managed to polish off the rest of the extra drys, half a bottle of TEQUILA half a bottle of COUGAR ES(EXTRA STRENGHT) 5/4 a bottle of BEAM and drink FERGO"S toilet water so yes hold it against me for spewing but all i can say is

big night and an awsome weekend BTW i'm the dick head with the

big hat

Will see you all at round 3 long live the MEXICAN"SBTW would like to say thanks to the lads in our camp for being a top mob for all you bastards in on the missing black cup

and a big thanks for helping me look for my 2way .The whole weekend as per usual was as funny as.CHEERS.

After we left your camp we went to gonads camp, he was the only other person still up, but even he girlied out on us after about an hour long, half full, half emtpy, bucket of bolts argument with a Queenslander

funniest thing I heard all weekend and yes I was on my fellow NS Welshmans side

OK just got out of bed after driving all night to get home. Its good to be home and in a nice warm bed.

I have quite a few things to say but as i am still half asleep i may not make much sense.

First of all i need to thank my major supporters in Mickey Thompson/Exclusive Tyre Distributors and Haultech Engineering.

Mickey Thompson / Exclusive Tyre Distribtors have been a major part of my success over the past few comps. The tyres often have been the difference between coming first and coming second. I honestly beleive that the M/T Claw is now one of the best 4wd tyres for all round use in Australian conditions. Yes there are many tyres out there that have been adapted to suit one specific feild however it has been shown that the Claw is now a great all round tyre and suits everything from mud to rocks. Once again thank you for your support. (How bling to the M/T classic II look

)

A huge thanks goes to Haultech for providing the awesome platform for the new buggy. Everything that was designed to do something did exactly what it was intended to do. I have to also mention the Haultech Heavy Duty CV's. I have now had these in for the first two rounds of WEROCK (maybe their lucky Cv's

) and are still in one peice and in fact they are not even clicking or showing any signs of failure.

On to the comp.....

A huge huge thanks needs to go to the KECK family for providing an awesome venue for our great sport. The terrain was great and what makes it even better is that there is plenty more rock there that was not even used for this event which allows for new areas for future comps.

Sam Keck thanks for been such a great ambasador for our sport, your little VITARA must be very sore after all the recoveries it had to do. Your time and effort before, during and especially after the event (thanks for the tow out

) was very much appriciated and allowed the whole weekend to flow. Top effort.

Big thanks to DAN & DAVE for stepping up and offering to help score on the stages. The scoring was spot on, as many competitors do we watch the stages and see if anythings been missed. I am glad to say that i could not find a fault with the job you guys did. You also did a great job keeping the competitors informed of the progress of the stages and also the score was at hand within minutes of the stge been run. Well done guys.

Thanks to Bec and Kate for double checking and double double checking ALL the scores over the whole weekend. It would have been bloody cold in that tent and i know that you guys could not watch all the action. Keep up the great work.

Thanks to Mick Garner for assisting in setting up the stages and getting all the rigs lined up so there was no delay between cars. You years of experience in the 4wd scene is a great assest to have at this type of event.

A Huge thanks to Sam Overton for organising and setting up what once again has been a great event. With each event that is held i see it growing and growing in all the right ways. I am sure that 99% of the people that were there had a great time. To me this is a measurement of what has been a great well run and organised event.

Thank you to all the fellow competitors. Without you guys there would be no event at all, we would all still be driving over pebbles in the backyard if we did not push each other to bigger and better things. Thank you for all your support and most of you guys get in there and and help each other out which is what makes this event so great. I honestly beleive that these competitors have changed the face of all 4wding events.

A giagantic thanks to all the spectators that showed up and stood in the freezing cold for hours just to watch some silly buggers rolling over and breaking shiat

. I would have to say that in all the events i have competed at that this crowd were by far the most vocal and most supportive i have seen and heard. It is very much apprieciated when a move is pulled off and the crowd loves it and they let out a huge chear. THIS IS WHY I COMPETE!!

To all the event sponsors thankyou for your efforts and support. It is amazing how much $$$$ goes into and event like this.

Finally a huge thanks to my very supportive partner, Bec thank you for you ever encouraging support and love.

Onto the event for me....

as many of you know it was the first drive for the new moon buggy. I could not wait to drive it and when i did i was stoked. It is totally a different driving experience. Dropping of those ledges with nothing in front of you really gets the heart pumping (try sitting on your bonnet and drop over a ledge, thats what it felt like

). It really does change your whole driving style and i felt i was lucky to do aswell as i did with no seat time. I was getting frustrated with all the little issues that kept occuring during the event, if i had 3 or 4 days testing most of these problems would have been sorted. Some of these problems cost me big time and i did loose quite a few points. I could also not run the last stage as i had electrical problems, it was just very lucky that i had enough points that all i had to do was break the start line and i would take a 40 point out. The best run for me was the second stage on day one. The bonus line and in fact the normal line did not get driven by anyone. I drove the bonus line only to blow a plug out of the radiator (due to a lose wire on the thermo fans which made the buggy run hot. One of those issue that would have been sorted with some testing), i was only 3 metres from the finish line and i could not get the engine started again. Although i pointed out and was one of my worst scores for the weekend i was still stoked that i drove that stage clean and got as far as i did.

Driving highlights that i enjoyed the most....

NAM and spotter standing the buggy back up after it rolled and then completing the stage. I did not think that their little legs would lift it, but the crowd really got behind them and the got it back on all fours, big effort and well done.

Dave KAMP

in his four runner driving the first stage on sunday, he drove smooth and clean and had one of the best runs for that stage.

Overall i had a great weekend. Looking forward to the next round in Melbourne.

On another note, some comments in this thread are just pure BS. Some of you people just need to get a life and worry about your own issues instead of trying to take other people down.

Great event, Great weekend, Sh!thouse cold weather but awesome driving!!!!!

man, what sounds like to have been the BEST EVENT on the calendar and i missed it.

i cant believe the last minute efforts that were put in by everyone by the sounds of it to get their shit sorted so they could compete... massive armsup to them. Keep up the good work and another big congrats to all those who competed!! and finally,

Fergo and his mates came down to our fire for a chat and one dude with a scottish hat (sorry dont know yr name, your a clown, I love it.) went to the camp next to us, picked up the biggest log on the fire and drag it on top of ours. As you can imagine the guy had a problem with this and came over to point out it was his log and we should get our own.

Scottish-hat guy told him hed give it back when hes done with it

and fergo made peace telling the guy to 'calm down you cranky c*#%. Obviously this guy didnt know fergo so didnt realise it was a term of endearment, and a bit of argle-bargle was on the cards. but it was sorted out. Funny stuff.

Apologies to the guy next door. I would have been pissed off too. Hopefully no hard feelings.

Also will there be two classes for we rock events when oz gets enough competeing vehicles. it we seem that we have some competitive 'chassis based' rigs (dont like saying full bodied cos theyre not). think pete, beebee, shane, nam

during our last run on sunday morning where i flopped off the ledge... did anybody see if i took out the right hand cone with my rear tyre as i went through the bonus gate? any video footage of it?

does anyone know who was the marshall? not having a whinge but i want to have the scoring explained to me. afaik, we pretty much got through cleanly but i got jibbed for two gates. whoever marshalled me, would probably remember that you also penalised me for rear steer (haha i wish!) and then fixed it up. tom looked like he did exactly the same thing (including using a spotter strap) yet some how he got -16. how was this possible?

yerr i want to see footage too especially of the roll....as i dont think nam actually did much to put the buggy back on its feet...it was all me!! and now my arms are sore...are ur arms sore nam??? i didnt think so...

btw i was da inexperience spotter who was told to get out the way by nam for those who dont know me

besides not knowing what i was doin on the course or how to spot, the trip up(rooted trailer tyre), the freezing cold night cause someone didnt zip the freaken tent up, the buggy not starting, the broken cv, missing wheels nuts, missing wheel nut spanner/socket thing, cruiser not starting and the trip home(loosing the wheel and the freaken hub too) the weekend was a blast. =)

thumbs up to the organisers, the spectators and the competitors who made it such a great and friendly vibe esepcially for first timers like me

oh yerr and a huge thanks to sam keck for helping spot =)
