Question about shock absorber

Hello to everybody, me writes you since the Basque country (the homeland of the French beret ! ) and I possess for 2 years long Pajero of 2eme generation of 1995 equipped with an engine 2.8 turbo diesel.
I need your opinion because I have to change my shock absorbers. A retailer advises me the mark(brand) Dobinsons (shock absorbers of diameter 60 millimetres and springs authorizing rear one raises of 4cm). Of what do you think of this mark(brand) and the quality of its material? Is he(it) rather typified clearing or raid?
It seems that numerous owners of Patrol use this material and are satisfied with it but I find not enough opinion concerning Pajero.
What difference with OME?
I waits (and my pajero also) for your answers with impatience, thank you in advance.

PS: all my excuses for the faults of styles but it is easier to me to speak English after 4 beers than to write it!!

Fane, I needed to go and have 4 beers to read your post then it made sence to me :D

I would suggest that the OME kit is a well proven option, and have this kit on my Nissan. I have not had any experience personally with this kit in a Pajero but if anything like kits for other vehicles then you would be happy with its performence

I normally recommend OME to people for their vehicles, but in the case of Pajeros I find that they repeatadly tear the bottom eye from the shock and leak oil.
Because of the mounting style of the lower eye , I have tried leaving the lower mount bolt slightly loose with a thread lock, loctite, but they still tore the eye .

Hi Guys, thanks for your answer, if I ask your opinion about Dobinsons it's because , in differents frenchs forum, peoples who used OME on Paj II for raids in Moroco for example had the problem that J Top describes.
Some OME's french dealers explain that OME shocks for french dealing are manufactured in Brazil and so quality aren't on the top and especially there's no constance in quality.
The result is, Frenchies who make clearing are content and those who make raid in north of Africa prefer Bilstein and Eibach or King Spring.
For me, B and KS seems to be too hard for my use ( after consulting differents mines) , my Paj is on the road 80% of the time and 20% in the mud and track.
A dealer advise me Dobinson often used by Patrol's owners who are satisfy of these material so I think, it will be a good idea to test it on my Paj, no ?

So, well, after all this gibberish, stop, it's time to pass to serious think: a little Macallan to refresh the mind ;)

I am unhappy with Rancho's.
I just fitted a set of 3 way adj Koni's to a SWB Paj and the owener is happy. He jumps his vehicles and wanted firm shocks to reduce bottoming.

Unhappy with the Quality of Rancho's? Ditto. My father had no end of trouble with them as well, breaking eyes off, going spongy, breaking adjustors off etc. They have been replaced each time free but a couple of months after they go on they break, its not like they were abused either.

I'll tell you my mind since I'll install it and use it. :)
