I know this has been covered before and the more I search and read the more confusing it seems to be.
I have a 1989 Pajero Import SWB.
Want to raise it about 2 to 3 Inches.
Can this be done by suspension only or will the angle on the tail shaft be to much? I would prefer NOT to do body lift.
Would Standard torsion bars be ok or will replacement be needed?
I tow a boat and only occasionally 4X4 with the car and would like to know what springs would be best. (LWB, Nissan or raised SWB?)

Lifting SWB

I raised mine 2" body lift with another 2" suspension. I used Kings springs which are nice and soft for articulation but after a years use they have sagged at least an inch. I've got a mate with a lifted GU so i'm going to see if I can knick his std rear springs and see how it looks then. I've got a home made storage system with cooking and recovery gear that I leave in the back but I don't think that should be my problem as i've already removed the rear seats and it doesn't weigh all that much.
