Valve Stem Seals

Post by suzukisam »

Can someone please tell me what type of valve stem seals the Sierra 8v G13ba motor has in it. Are they rubber or pressfit steel?

Like do i have to take the head off again or can i sneak a rubber one in?? :?

cheers guys

Hey Lester

I've got a spare head sitting here with new seals on it. They are metal bodied rubber seals. I.e the O.D is metal, but the I.D is rubber and they are a hand push fit.
You might be able to replace them in situ using the old rope down the plug hole trick. They aren't that tight on the guides.
