Dull softtop windows?

Post by CHOPS1 »

I finally buffed my plastic windows today and i can highly recommend
Meguiars Mirror Glaze! I had rub marks and dull spots where camping gear had rubbed and the rear window from rolling it up! They have come up better than i thought. I have had it sitting here for ages for my helmet visor, wish i had done it sooner!

Cool, we got some very grubby soft top windows to clean too and I didn't want to use something that'll leave scratches.

Is this stuff meant for cleaning glass or is it recommended for plastic too?

Cheers

Hi,
its a clear plastic polish, its not for glass at all.
I had rub marks fom the two straps that hold the rear window when you roll it up and it got rid of them.

It is made by Meguires, and is called Mirror Glaze and is a 2 step process,
first you use Mirror Glaze #17 cleaner, this removes all the fine scratches,
then use Mirror Glaze #10 polish, to bring up the clarity and luster, it is anti staic as well.
There is also a cleaner/polish, but the seperate products work better.
Peter.

And a quick soft top preventative maintanance tip,
don't roll up your back window on a snow trip, when it is covered in ice, crack, crack, crack
