Just installed an Apexi turbo timer in my 2000 Discovery, All works fine until I try to lock the car with the remote detonator while the engine is still running the car beeps at me and wont lock until the timer has expired. Is there a trick to wiring these things in with remote central locking??

The problem is that the car wont allow you to lock using the remote whilst the ignition is on. The only way around it would be to find the ignition/accessory or whatever feed it is to the remote central locking module and try disconnecting it. You would need a wiring diagram to find it though.

Don't mean to be negative or a smartarse, but if you have to wait 1/2 to 1 minute for the engine to stop before being able to lock-up, why have a turbo timer in the first place? No you get a TT to ensure you don't destroy your turbo - it is not something designed to allow you to lock your car and walk away from it with the engine still running
