5 point front end enquiry

Post by Nisspatrol »

After last night discussion, i want to look into a 5 point front end, who's the best manufacturer to go to, and are there any special considerations to look out for in the installation.
links to site would be great too.

Wizard make bolt in kits which I think are also sold through Snake Racing, Big Balls, Mannell etc. (I stand to be corrected on this)

Not sure about Cheezy but I'm sure he can make one if he doesn;t already.

There is a weld on kit also, but I believe this is easier to set up incorrectly and if it isn't right it can be a bugger to drive on.

I have a Wizard 5 link currently fitted to mine but it is coming out and will be for sale soon. It gives awesome wheel travel and drives really nice on the road once you have the castor set to about +3degrees (it's a bit wallowy but I don't run sway bars). You can't run the big ute style tie rod as the ends foul on the 5 link brackets and you lose some steering lock. It pretty much bolts straight in to factory mounts exceptyou need to die grind a little bit of the chassis for one of the mounts.

I'm going to drop arms soon as I feel they are better suited to the hard, high speed competition driving whereas the 5 link is good for crawling stuff.
