Control arm Bushes

Post by turps »

Anyone know the price of these.
As I need to replace my current rear lower control arms as they are to short. So was thinking of making my own. But the bushes need replacing as the old arms sat outside in the weather for awhile.
So just adding up the costs of building my own or buying off the shelve.

They retail for about $70 each from nissan but you could do what I do and get the ones from ARB that they take out of new cars to fit their own poly eurothane bushes. I get them for nothing and they are still perfect. :D

Hey champ calm down.
In my first post in this thread I explained what I am doing. I need longer trailing arms.
I know where to get them and who to call for quotes and where to look on the net for net prices if I want new ones.
But I also know what I need to mod my crappy original ones with buggered bushes. To be longer and stronger. I also have a mate who is a very good welder.
So I wanted to see if anybody off hand knew the price of the new bushes, since Nissan are shut. As if I knew the price of these bushes I could work out if it is worth buy aftermarket arms or building my own.

Also I have never heard about super pro bushes, where do I get these and how much are they?

As for toughnuts reply thanks for that idea I forgot about that one. I know about going to them for radius arm bushes, just didnt think about doing the same for control arms. Will give the local stores a ring tommorow.
Will also phone Nissan and get there brand new price.

I am in Central Vic.
Thanks for the price guide. I just need to decide if it is worth the hassle of making them when there is somthing already on the market.

Gave ARB a buzz 2day as i am up for new radius arm bushes, but they rekon "policy" is to throw them all out....even offering to pay $20-$30 each for something that is apparently rubbish to them. i guess you have to know one of the mechanics.

Dan
Thank for that Dan.
Bundy sent me a price just before which was very similar.
I thought the arms where under $300 a pair. So was thinking it wasnt worth while me making some. But after abit of net research today and finding the prices to be $380, I think I will go ahead with making my own.
And just go to the local Nissan shop and buy some bushes. Gotta go in there anyway and get some panhard rod bushes as there flogged out also.
