I was quoted $1300 for an EFS 2" lift with shocks fitted by 4Play. I'm popping down to Melbourne today to see if I can get a quote direct from Carrol's Springs on their EFS range. ARB also supposedly has developed the Dakar range for Sierra's as well, which should be cheaper.

Normal price unfitted for an EFS 2" kit seems to be around the $700 mark. I'm sure the full retail price is probably more like $900.

You may do better or worse depending on who you know and how well you talk the talk.

The fitting isn't really that hard.

The Zuks could not be an easier vehicle to fit new springs to ..

If you have a decent socket set and some jackstands .. you can di it in half a day at a pretty leisurely pace .. You can definatley save some $$ on fitting ..

love_mud,
Absolutely agree, the fitted prices I received where because I was lazy. Then I received a quote for $1500 fitted for the Dakar range from a shop in Shepparton  , they tried to justify the price on 6 hours labour. I walked out laughing and have since decided to choose and fit the suspension myself.

Yeah I don't know how shops calculate their 'hours of labour'. I got quoted 2 hours labour by opposite lock to run a weld around my spring perches once they are already spot welded into position, probably take him 15mins.

Love_Mud,
I'm in Kyabram but usually get to Melbourne at least once a month. Just got a quote today for EFS suspension from Carroll's Springs, $138 per shock, $145 per front spring and $166 per rear spring. That's almost $200 more than quoted from a retail outlet and only $130 less than getting 4Play to fit them. I expected Carrolls to be cheaper... :?

try these guys mate....just down the road from Carrolls.

their springs are great (Belton), shocks are a bit average (rebadged Gabriels?) and they sell direct...found them very cheap when I did my old lux.

Eff,
Just a follow up on ARB's Dakar range for the Suzuki Sierra, $841 complete for "light" springs (3+2 leaves), OME shocks, bushes etc... add around $40 for the "heavy" springs(4+2 leaves). Fitting is $350. The springs alone are around $80 each. Quote from ARB Kilsyth.
Mentioned the price to my local ARB stockist and they will honour that price and not charge me freight on the goods, which they normally would if I hadn't rung ARB Kilsyth for the quote.
Cheers...
