3F TBI Q's
yes i have searched found nothing i wanted so,
first question what type of injection did the 3F-E come out with TBI/SPI or multi point?
and next has anyone done fuel injection ot the 3F or know where i can find some more info on the subject.
was thinking of using the EA ford 4lt Throttle body injection unit with all the sensors dizzy and ECU, and adapting this to the 3F motor. any thoughts
cheers Thommo

1uzed and no home for it
I started asking questions on the 3F two years ago and most of the advice was "Don't waste your money trying to improve it, get rid of it!!"
I know its not the answer you were looking for but its the advice I got

73 Series Middy Cruiser 308 VN V8 OME 2in Susp lift 2in Body lift 35in Pro Comp X-Terrains
i would like to (get rid of it), but i was reading in some rules on comp events and they say that you must retain the same motor or a motor from the same model, it will be changed later on to diesel but untill then i would like to get rid of the carby as im sick of stalling on hills due to float probs.

I think the easiest way would be to find someone removing their injected 3F to fit a V8, a brave man with petrol prices going the way they are.
I regularly repair/service a FJ40 with front coils and an inj. 3F.
I didn't fit it but it is a setup adapted from a XF fairmont multi point.
It runs very well and has been quite reliable.

3F-EFI is great! I am no expert and I had a lot of help but early 80 series intake manifold (with injectors etc..), custom injector plate (to accept the injectors above the opening), aftermarket computer, some wiring, elec ign, fuel pump and other bits gave me a sweet setup. The 3F gets a hard time but I love it. With EFI, extractors and a free flow exhaust, she revs like a 4.5 and pulls like a tractor. Ended up costing a bit but works well. Whats so bad about lpg? I run both and if I didn't want the outback range i would've ditched the petrol and just gone straight gas. Sorry for the delay in response - I'm rarely online.
