Lightforce 240's

Fitted a set of lightforce 240's today, all i can say is awesome!!!! they are the best light i have ever seen or owned (apart from the HID's) i got two spot/spread combo covers and chucked them on as a lot of my night driving is on twisty windy roads, and they are nuts!! it still has great distance but imagine two 45 degree angles of each side of the bull bar and they spread about 30 meters each side!! i know i sound like a bit of a salesman but i would have to recommend these to anyone!!

better put a timer on them so they turn off at dawn, otherwise you might not notice the suns up :finger:

Im planning on getting a pair of these in the next week or so.
Does anyone know anywhere that has these for a good price?
Im over in WA so freight might cost a bit from east.
I have been quoted $395 for a pair from a local trucking company.

i got mine at cost through my mate who stocks 4x4 parts and accesories. :lol:

i paid 380 for the lights and the two combo covers.

395 would still be a good price.

i paid 340 4 my set of 240's and there r good but i wasnt totally blown away by them

i love em! purely beacuse i can put the spread covers on them, but then go back to pencil beam when im out on the flats or striaght highway driving.

yeah dont get me rong i woodnt buy any other light, they give a good clean bright white light that makes it easy 2 c. i have a pair of 240's and a pair of 170's

but i think the hype is 2 gr8 and i had really huge expectations, but definately good lights

thats fair enough. i like the clean white light as well. but compared to an old set of ipf's these thing are great!.

My only complaint is they reflect to much light back onto me 8) the street signs and stuff are too reflective.

just kidding they are sweet, and they look good too. and super light.

I use a yellow cover on mine and that stops the reflection of signs.

I run clear on the HID's and yellow on the rest. I found the yellow are good for close up stuff and off road. When I am competing at night its all or nothing so I can see everything, most other competitors complain about the burnt out eye sockets. :lol:

wouldn't mind a set of the HID's bet eh kick ass over the normal 240's

Yep, I love my HID's and they draw FA power ( Sorry Pete, maybe you should put that on the next adds. HID, they draw FA Power :lol:

), anyway, I dont turn them off till the event is finished and find no draw on the battery.

The comments about the yellow are well worth considering... think about detail definition and contrast ratios etc... particulalry with a high key tonal background. Horses for courses... speaking of which ... does anyone ever seen Mr Ed on DVD?
