disco body lift

Post by Shy Industries »

I have decided to turn my 97' disco into a super tourer with the first of the new mods being a 50mm body lift. The disco is a 97' tdi manual. I was wondering if anyone has any tips to make this task a little less daunting. I would appreciate any help thanks in advance.
Cheers Kaine.

I have heard rangie spares do an excellent kit with absolutely everything you need.

dont rush it and research thorougly on what you need.

make some calls and chat away

the legality of certain types of body blocks (nylon , polyurethane (spell?), steel etc) to suit your state

the correct size bolts and make sure you zinc coat them as they'll rust themselves solid onto the nuts and will make it very difficult for removal in the future.

not a job to do alone... have a few mates handy..

I did the Rangie Spares body lift to my Disco, and as said, everything is included.
The only thing is the transfer case lever, but I just left it shorter, no big deal.

They even put in brackets to strenthen the body mount wings, which really should be used.
I think if you do a search someone posted a photo of the kit.
