Which hilux engine

Post by cam yagan »

I am upgrading from a zuk to a hilux :) and have a max of 30K to spend. So far my preferred choice is an x-tra cab with the 3.0 ltr TD. What do u guys think ? any comments would be greatly appreciated.

if your serious about wheelin', get a lux with a solid axle (i.e., pre-1997 model)

these are easier and cheaper to mod. ;D

Im not into serious rock hopping but i will do a fair bit of beach work, and dirt road touring. As for mods, probably susp, bar work, LR tank, and 33"s

3.0td x-cab i think would be good for what you want, if you don't want to lift it much only get 2-3" max
