What lift on 61 series

Post by MUD000 »

Just wanting to know what size lift to fit 315x75x16 claws under my 60 :?:
I'm about to put a 2" body lift in and need to know how much lift is required.
Anyone do a good suspension lift for the 61 :?:

have been told that 2" body plus 2" spring clears 35's

I have zero lift and i clear 33 x 12.5's, although i have only about 1" before the tyre rubs on the back guard. 12.5" wide tyres wont fit "inside" the rear guards without some lipping of the guards (perhaps not even then)

Your tyres will be 1" taller (with respect to axle), so a 4" lift will give you about 4" of travel up on the rear guards.

Front guards arent a problem on mine, although, the 35's may rub on the inner guard on steering lock?

id probably aim for a 2" body lift and 3" spring lift, and perhaps some extended shackles if thats not enough.

Id agree with shadows...

Would be very interested in seeing some pics when completed but.

I run 33's on saggy springs, scrub like mad on the inside of guards on decent flex, but dont nip the outside body at all i think.

Cheers

mine would scrub the inside of the guard aswell on serious flex, what width tyres you got?

with 12.5" i can only fit my fingers between the tyre and the inner guard/chassis rail, and the outside of the tyre rubs the guard by a good 5mm.

thats with 15x8 cruiser offset rims.

an extra 1" offset would help but then id definantly need a good 4+" lift to clear the guards.

:) Thanks fellas body lift done just putting in a long range tank, new mp3 player. Have to make a new winch bar & modify the rear wheel carrier to suit body lift. Body lift's r easy on the 60's.
