Taken from HAYNES Suzuki Vitara Service and Repair manual.

IGNITION SYSTEM

Spark plug type:
1990 and Earlier- NGK BPR-5ES
1991 and Later- NGK BPR-6E

Spark plug Gap: 0.7 to 0.8mm

Ignition Timing: 8-Degrees BTDC at 800 RPM

Cylinder firing order: 1-3-4-2


VALVE CLEARANCES

8-Valve Engine:
Intake cold- 0.13 to 0.17mm
Intake Hot- 0.23 to 0.27mm

Exhaust Cold- 0.16 to 0.20mm
Exhaust Hot- 0.26 to 0.30mm

16-Valve Engine:
(intake and exhaust)
Cold- 0.08 to 0.12mm
Hot- 0.12 to 0.16mm

THERMOSTAT RATING

Starts to Open: 82 degrees Celcius
Fully open: 100 degrees Celcius

CLUTCH

Clutch Pedal Free play: 15-25mm
Clutch Pedal Height: 5.0mm above Brake Pedal
Clutch Release Arm freeplay: 0.5 to 1.5mm

BRAKES

Disc brake pad
lining thickness:
Minimum- 1mm
Drum Brake shoe
lining thickness:
minimum- 1mm

Brake pedal freeplay: 1-8mm
Brake pedal height: 130mm
Parking Brake adjustment: 5-8 Clicks

STEERING

Steering wheel freeplay: 10-30mm

TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Automatic trans pan bolts: 9
Manual Trans drain
and check/fill plugs: 20

If you are going to create a 'bible' as such, the best information comes from the genuine Suzuki workshop manual and not a quasi like the Haynes. The Haynes product (for Suzuki at least), really is a cheap and nasty imitation of the real thing and you always get what you pay for. For example, your information on spark plugs the correct detail is as follows:
Vitara w/G16A eng (88-10/94) uses NGK BP6ES
Vitara w/G16B eng (8/91-96) uses NGK BKR6E
