BATHURST NAVRUN 30/31 JULY

Post by NavRun »

BATHURST NAVRUN

30th/31st July, 2005

Navrun has gone National this year with a heap of different events for 2005. Bathurst is the first Navrun in NSW and we hope we can get many supporting us to make this an annual event in NSW.

Remember Navruns are the very few events that cater for the Families, kids, novices, hard core guys all into one event. There is no advantage if you have a modified vehicle or standard. As long as you have a GPS and know how to read a map and of course know how to 4wd.

Where: Approx. 15km east of Bathurst in the Sunny Corner State Forest. Approx 180km west of Sydney.

More info and entry forms can be found at

All Navruns have a limit of 20 teams per event. In same cases we will restrict this even further depending on the areas we do. We don't want to become too greedy and over crowd the event.

Bathurst has a limit of 20 teams becuase it covers quite a large area.

none of the above are necessary. As long as your vehicle is roadworthy and you are a licensed driver. This event is not a race or timed event so speed is not a factor. Your vehicle can have any size tyre, or what ever you like on it so long it is road legal.

We at navrun monitor speed by using radar detectors which can pick you up 350m away and severe penalty points apply for speeding. We use police breathlysers as well to keep the safety aspect of the event.

a mates 2nd car has dropped out and he wants me to partner him.

Question is can i get a truck into the camp area.
i dont often drive on the road and currently got 38.5 on the patrol.i will try and get the 35 claws (33.9) back on.
im one of those people that dont want to waste good rubber on tar.

i know the navrun is better suited for stock cars but this is my only 4wd.
cheers steve

no problems with getting a truck into the campground as it is off the main road.

We only need another 5-6 teams to make this event a goer, so please let me know ASAP if you intend to compete in this event.

I just received an email from Rudy advising that the NAVRUN has been cancelled:

Dear Bathurst Navsters,

Unfortunately due to a low amount of entry forms we have had to cancel the event. The amount of teams already entered failed to meet our quota to make this event even to break even.

We sincerely apologise for this but we tried our best to promote and make this event possible for people in NSW but it failed to work.

We will try in a couple of years again as next years fixture has already been decided.

For those who have sent cheques, we have not cashed them in and will destroy them appropriately.

Kind Regards, Rudi Paoletti & Steve Hobbs
