Sticky Fuel Guage in 80 series

Post by bjtheking56@yahoo.com »

The other day while out 4bying my 80 series fuel guage (main tank) got stuck on Half way. After a bit of rugged off road, the guage started working again till it hit half way. Now its stuck there and no matter how rugged I go, it stays stuck. A mate has the same problem but his seems to work, then not work.

Any suggestions

Cheers

Pete

Hi Pete, I had the same problem with my previous cruiser a 60 series and found it was the sender unit in the fuel tank, a friend got a replacement from a wreckers and fitted it for me, no problems after. Hope this helps.....Al
