So i've got the dreaded flashing dash light syndrome..
After having a quick play with the air lines and solenoids, are you sposed to have vacuum on both lines when in 2wd/4wd, as i dont have vacuum through the yellow line, which is the one to the vacuum tank. I didn't have time to fully check the hoses as it was around midnight. I've just been reading all the posts and i'll check the 4wd switch later. But, do both lines suck, or does one suck and one blow (For want of better terminology)? Also i assume that the solenoids are both the same just plugged in oppositely to each other, so do they both work together, or is one for engage and one for disengage?
I know this has been asked before, so please be gentle, oh and i have consulted the service manual but i didn't thnk it explained the air lines very well :(

Yes I think you have to have vacuum on both hoses (blue & yellow trace) when 4Hi is engaged.
If you get a Gregory's no 510 it explains it very well on page 170.
I have 2 spare solenoids (that were working fine) if you find it's one of them that your welcome to. I live in Narre Warren.

I just luv my "clacker Jabber"
Alright, been playing, and i've determined the the yellow solenoid is cactus (No continuity between terminals) so Frank you have PM. But, i also have NO power going to the solenoids in either 2/4wd. I've checked the 4wd fuse and it's fine so does this mean it's definately the 2/4wd switch? I ran out of time again, so it's next on the list.Bitsamissin wrote:Yes I think you have to have vacuum on both hoses (blue & yellow trace) when 4Hi is engaged.
