I have a problem with my hi-mount. I have 700 & 600 overlanders connected with solinoid to the winch. After a fair bit of use in the last couple of months, went to winch a hilux out of the park in front of my house on sunday and the winch would bearly pull. It has pulled my car easily and should have done the same with the hilux. It gets very slow quickly. Could it be A) Batteries
B)Solinoids
C) Connections (Ive had a quick look)
D)Alternator
E)Winch motor
F)Anything else
Any Ideas??

Did you have the engine running?
If not - it wouldn't be the alternator, if so it probably isn't the battery....
Is the winch properly powered from & earthed back to the battery?
Fact is - without a lot more info it could be any of the things you've listed....But I don't think it's the soliniods because in my experience they either work or they don't...
When was the last time you serviced the winch??

The car was running, and the winch has been recently serviced (Last 12 months)- I was thinking about it some more and il have to just start from one end to the other following the cables and see if I can find any faults. Could be a mud problem in something. The batteries are about 12 months old and have never been allowed to run flat. Ill get the multimeter out on the weekend and see if i can find if there is a voltage drop or one of the batteries in knackerd or if the alternator is charging.
