Not reversing with new tyres :/
Not reversing with new tyres :/
Gday guys put my new 31" mongrels on today they look massive on the suzuki hehe. (pics up soon)
Just one thing not quite right in reverse particulary in low range or slow in high going up any soft of hill one will will stop completly and the other will spin and the car does big hops lol, sorta like the brake on on the stopped one..., can't the rear dif handle swapping between the tyres or....?
Forwards in everythimg is fine and going fast reverse in high range sorta works most the time.
ne one had this problem and/or know how to sort it out?
Thanks!

Is there any clicking noises? sounds like ur diffs arn;t turning both due to so much traction btw is this happining with both front and back diffs? A bit more info also put your old tyres bak on and see if it still does it .
Lockers or Knockers ,both will make for fun.

my zook does the same think when i try to reverse backwards up my driveway. i think it is just cause suzukis rear ends are light and the torque acting on the leafe spring cause it to bounce once you loose traction. i find it hard to reverse up anything in 2wd unless i go faster. not sure if it is always the same wheel which spins.
there could be a problem with your drum brakes if only one wheel is spining jack up the rear end and spin them around n see if it is all in order they should spin fairly freely.

Nah nah nah, what your experiencing is pretty normal to an extent, thats the effect of one side of your diff bouncing up and down due to the torque reaction. I've noticed it happensl more in reverse.
Think about, torque reaction pushes one side of the diff downwards, it tends to bounce up slightly, with throttle still applied once that side lifts up a little bit it will tend to come down again, it then keeps on jumping up and down. It's all pretty normal, TO AN EXTENT. I used to get the most horrible noise when that used to happen, I used to get this massive clunking sound everytime it'll go up and down. I've got a buggered diff though, gonna replace it soon.

Yea i think u guys r on the right track (spot on 87suzi exact problem) apparatly its the axle twisting and bouncing that one side up and down, does make ne bad noises just leaps arounf a bit but once it starts i only did it for a second or so..., went wheeling (as u call it lol) today and it didn't do it once o_0, so just does it on fairly steep grippy hills in reverse, apparantly a track bar will help fix it, as it would suck if i couldnt reverse out of somewhere :/
