Well first of all why inject a 2F , well I have great faith in my 2F you can stick your foot on the floor and ring the tits out of it for as long as you like with little concern for it curling up its toes and shuffling of this mortal coil
Im not looking for V8 power just to go breaking CV's or worse. My 2F can do that already with the rebuild and balance and the work thats already been done
Though the sound would be nice
I'm just looking to up the power a little if it can be done
It's either that or go for a V10 Tourag Bi turbo unit
i looked at the ea falcon cpi setup wouldnt be too hard to remove from a wrecked ea and retrofit it onto a 2f
i ended up going straight lpg so no efi anything needed
www.ih8mud.com has a few tech articles on it check em out 1

Thanks for that, Gas would be the way to go but not so easy to get at comps sometimes. I will have a look at the falcons unit to see what can be done.

Why is the question....it can be fixed on the side of the road at the moment...if you really want to play with it, buy an 80 series wreck with a 1fzfe in it....reliable horsepower and heaps of torque is what you need.
I love the old 2f's and 3f's, but they dont rev and therefore you cant gear them down and do highway aswell...
My thoughts anyway...dunnydore v6's run underwater aswell (coilpacks) and you could get one in there with a 4 speed auto for the cost of a wreck and some hard work....probably $2500 including adapter...

Thanks for that but looking to keep the truck some what original engin too,
So we will stick with the 2F and see what we can do.

Ok, if you want to inject this 6 pot, id suggest you buy a programmable computer that will run ignition graph aswell and rape a ford for the efi aswell as the crank sensor...that way it will be easier to tune it to your motor...you still need to work out tank and efi pumps, big PITA

I have a 3F with EFI and it runs great - highly recommend it. Most bits came from early 80 series 3FE (hard to find). Search the forum as someone else had a similar question on the 3F around a month back. With EFI intake manifold and extractors it revs very freely and gives many people a shock on the highway! Sounds great too!
