Insert a flathead screwdriver and pop out!
I had issues with replacing this seal!
stuffed up 2 aftermarket seals before I took it to a mechanic mate with a genuine unit! he got it on with difficulty!
a real mongrel!
good luck!
try putting seal in hot water for a minute to soften a little and apply a bit of grease to inside of seal should slide on a lot easier.we do this when replacing seals in gearboxes.as for pulling the old one off it should just come off with a bit of persuasion.hope you get it
good luck
ive done that same seal not long ago, popped it off with a screwdriver, greased and tapped the new one on with a nylon hammer, no seal damage, hasnt leaked yet,
thanks guys, i had tried prying it off, no go, but got it done at a mates place in the vice just tapping it off (emphasis on the tapping, might have been more than a tap). New one went on easy with a tube. Only prob I have now is that the seal surface on the other side to this seal has grooves in it, so might not seal to well..... bugger.
