Just done a spring over on the 73 series.
Has A LOT of diff flex when braking (around 4 inches!)
What is the solution?
Will a track rod help? If so how do I go about mounting??
Any alternatives?

Yes, diff flex in powerful sprung over vehicles is the number one cause of pinion shaft breakages. In the US most guys who break pinion shafts are running V8's and are sprung over.

There is some good info in here, just need to measure the lengths for your Middy and build it to suit.
If you want to use rubber bushes i think Snake Racing has some fancy new Nissan style bushes available at a good rate.
