Where to get Handbrake cables in Melb

Post by DamTriton »

I need some handbrake cables made up. Anyone know of someone in SE Melb that does this? I'm getting a BL next week, and I already know the outer sheaths are stretched as tight as a drum under the vehicle now. The extra length needed may just make them unusable

there is a company that makes morse cables in Carrum Downs....
I don't know their name, but they should be in the yellow pages, or ring some aeroplane wreckers at Moorabbin airport, and ask them who makes the cables for them.

I just had my cables modified and the shop I took them to indicated as they were for brakes they had to be sent to Melb :D as any fittings that are required to be pressed onto brake cables, by law have to be done at an incedible pressure.

He showed me the chart but I can't recall what it was.

They were sent to a specialised shop in Melb so make sure the people you are dealing with are certified for this or will send them out to be done properly.
