For all Queenslanders, MMM rang @ 11 pm last night to say they completed the first 3 stages without incident and Laurie the lengend drove them all, no winching. He had to as MMM is too fat to run. They think they are positioned in the top five going by times (I know it's only early). He will keep me updated as much as possible so I can pass ot on. Unfortunatley in my half asleep daze I forgot to ask about any other Qld's but I will next time he calls.
Cheers

Laurie and MMM are running in 9th this morning, Broken teeth on front crown wheel but still going.Semmen boys in 11th, Dusty in 14th. Peter Leopard is out due to broken shaft in winch. Mick Hingerty and Kevy Nott out due to rear diff on friday nite. Lots if carnage.
MMM says this is a great event and venue with fantastic club participation and very helpful and freindly officials, congratulations to all involved.
Cheers

Sandy was winning but winch broke on the last stage of the day and dnf'd.
Almost every petrol doing the SS11 at the end stalled in the bog and a lot of difficulty restarting, darren and huddy had to dnf because of this
Chunk and Rohan flopped on saturday but minimal damage and caught up a few positions today
My money is on Ben Russell to just inch out Birdy for the win but it could go either way

I dont think Laurie or any Queenslanders were top ten in the end.
We snapped the main shaft in the gearbox on Friday night, so we spectated for the rest of the event. Peter who came 3rd took out a tree on friday night and DNF'd that stage, so he to could have been in first place also, if only.
