can any one please tell me the torke settings for a td42 head i belive there are 3 stages please help i am doing it today.

Ensure no 1 on TDC compression stroke

Install head

Wipe oil on bolt threads

1st - 49 to 59 Nm ( 36 to 43 ft-lb)

2nd - 98 to 108 Nm (72 to 80 ft-lb)


Rocker shaft 20 to 25 Nm ( 14 to 18 ft-lb)

Adj rockers
