GQ Tyre carrier Bolt size?

Post by jtraf »

Have fitted some old alloy's to the GQ but tyre carrier has smaller studs than the the wheels.....

What size lugs do I need for the carrier???

I am sure more than one person has bought these in the past.

cheers

Change them for 12 x 1.25 threaded bolts.
Will take standrad GQ nuts then.

Got to agree with BAzzle, I lost the nuts for the spare and they are $14 each from Nissan.

as the bolts are welded in, and are very difficult to grind out, it is easier to buy an older GQ mount from the wreckers.

i tried cutting them out of mine, couldnt get the 4" grinder in there properly, took ages to get 1 stud out. Series 1 GQ's have standard size studs, same as the wheels. $45 delivered from Hall 4x4 salvage.
