Feroza Racks
Hey all,
I see in some photo's people have roof racks on the Resin top of their Feroza - can someone tell me what the did/where to get/$$$?
I want to do the same - with the missus and 2 little ones in the back, no room for gear for a week on straddie - and they charge another car cost for a trailer! I was thinking of racks with one of those luggage things, and then just pop it off once there so I can do the brack/tracks roofless with the kids :-)
Thanks guys
Drewe

have a look at Kent's (I think) www.warfs.ofg site for heaps of great stuff, specifically at:

(under home/tech articles/miscellaneous)
on how to install thule racks onto the resin top. I think you could do it with most types of aftermarket racks eg rhino/rak etc.

my rocky's resin top, i paid 300 bux for a pair of roof racks, seemed steep to me, but they a good brand (rhino i think), and the guy had to basically 'custom' fit it, essentially just screwed it into the resin, but their very strong. Also made my own luggage rack, to save the couple of hundred $$ u'd usually pay for one, pretty easy. I just went to local roof rack place (roof rack city) and asked.

No need to fabricate anything ala WARFS- Rola make kits to fit.
www.rola.com.au - you can buy them online too.

Rola Racks also bolt on the same way as this. They also sit a fair bit lower, you need to have the front one right towards the front of the roof to allow the roof to be opened properly.noelp wrote:http://www.warfs.org/content/view/37/51/

THanks all - that is perfect.
I have to fix the front rain guards too (when it is back from the mechanic shop - right now half the engine is out!) - the last owner, the day before I looked at it, ran it under a water pipe at the edge of a carpark and ripped them off!!!!! oh well...
Thanks again. Off to order!

I bought Rhino (supporting Aussie made) and I have had no end of trouble! The front rack that attaches to the gutter keeps wanting to work its way out and only holds on by about 1mm. So I contacted the rep and he tried a few things and ended up saying that they recently redesigned the front clamps and the engineers thought a gutter was a gutter (one size fits all). But the Fuz gutters have a lip underneath and thats whats stuffing it up. Long story short I now have the old style clamps on now until they redesign them! BUt its been a few months now and im ticked off with it cause with these ones I cant open the roof up.
So there's a heads up for ya.
