you basically answered you post you need to have the offset made bigger either that or a set of wheel spacers...

are they 15x8


now is it a ifs or solid axle?

landcruiser rims, have the widest offset and are the same stud pattern as hilux, but if ya want wider u can get ya rims flipped, wheel spacers, or run ifs rear diff and hub kit for the front,

Can someone explain what rim fliping invoves and how it improves your vehicles track?

rim flipping is simply cutting the centre out, flipping the rim and rewelding the centre back in with a large offset say 2-3" you can pretty much offset as much as you desire doing this method, will need to factor in sandblasting and powdercoating costs as this will neeed to be done aswell.
