Good/Average Springs?
hey I'm in the market for some new springs because I'd like to get a bit of lift out of them. On ebay here there's a bloke selling some EFS 4" springs for toyota hilux (85 - 94). It comes with the springs, greasable shackles/pins (front and rear) and hi tensile u bolts.

how much do you think these would be worth in the end? and would they actually give me 4" lift over my standard springs? thanks.
anything else i should know?
cheers.

have never run them but the efs shocks seem good and the zook boys run alot of efs gear so I dont see any issues, still would suggest 2" spring 2" body 4" springs can send the level of the car way out of wack with even a very slight chassis twist / bend

also the comment that you dont need to do anything cept put them in your truck and it will lift it.....what about shocks383FJ45 wrote:hmm dunno. just bid 100 bucks. get them for the reserve. cant hurt. EFS are pretty good for a cheap option.
only appears to be 2 rear springs there and 4 U bolts. not 4 springs and 8 u bolts as stated.
id also like to know what "#poterl tanks" are!

hey can tiny or anyone elaborate on what tiny was saying earlier that if my chassis has a slight twist or bend it send the car level way out of whack? What are the chances of this happening and is it a very major problem?
thanks.
im definitely up for getting these, but i don't want to get them and find out that I'll need to spend another $200 or whatever on other stuff to make them fit.
thanks.

effectivly if the chassis is twistes at all it may sit level with standard springs, but if you put 4" lifted spring under you rig the slight twist will be amplified by the extra height causing the rig to sit crooked. in a coil sprung vehicle you wouild put packers under the springs to combat this however you would need to remone leaves on your vehicle to get it to sit flat.ditch wrote:hey can tiny or anyone elaborate on what tiny was saying earlier that if my chassis has a slight twist or bend it send the car level way out of whack? as for your shocks you will need to get extra reach shocks or you will top them out very qhickly and stuff them as well as suffer from lack of flex downwards
