cheezy engine mounts

I have a swb mav running a 5 inch lift, currently got 1 inch gearbox spacer in, looking at getting cheezy engine mounts with 1 inch lift and adjustable lower rear arms, will this get rid of gearbox spacer and also the very small amount of vibration due to pinion angle, who has done this setup and does it work?. is there anything else I would have to do to this setup eg:- radiator mounts etc etc. The lower arms I have atm cause the 35s to rub at rear right on full ticulation, should I be looking at adjustable panhard rod as well, as Im still running the standard?
All help would be appreciated :)

Hey mate hows it goen
Adjustable panhard for a 5 inch lift is a must as far as i can understand
longer lower arms i have heard gets rid of vibrations
i have myself adjustable uppers and gearbox packers

but if you go with engine mounts and longer lower arms i reckon you will be right remember though raising your engine raises your COG ;)

hey mate,
if your runnin standard panhards, that wheel must be hangin out alot, when i first did the lift i cut the panhard and "temp" welded a piece of gas pipe over to extend it,.....3 years later i bought adjustables, lazzzzzy, but they worked well but dont let the cops see em!!! :twisted:

Yeah go the Cheezy Method... But get new bushes at the same time...

If its good enough for him it's good enough for you..
Raise the Engine mounts and Just get Lower longers all from cheezy. Apparently alot of the time the longer lowers are all you need to get the unis within 3 degrees of opposing eachother.. And cancel Vibrations.

Don't waste money on Double Cardinal Joints and rotating stuff if you don't have too. My advice. I have a double cardinal setup and regret it due to the $$$ could have been a front locker :)

As far as panhards go. Get them..for both strength and to realign everything. There are millions to choose from all around the same price. There were pictures a while ago of Hottimonster I thinks with a reallly bent rear one - it didn't look pretty.

Also don't forget to add into the equation a XHD Tie Rod. This thing is Exposed. The moment you start really wheeling it cops a fricking flogging.

Steer away from castor plates...

3rd's Productions do some heavy duty adjustable panhards and tie rod. I had to get em after bending rear panhard and tie rod, bloody strong 3rd's things.

3rds are definatly the way to go IMO. of the arms I have sold, the 3rds have had no problems and are an extremely tough item

hiya bartso, whens your ride back on the road? thanks guys for the info, just waiting on prices for the stuff I need atm, had a look over my ride and found that I definately need engine mounts as they both seperated while wheeling on sunday!

my engine mounts have ripped apart as well im putting a chain from engine and chassis to help stop breaking them :D

chaining the engine down should be the first thing to do in a Nissan . the mounts are common for breaking . i have seen fans hit shrouds and radiators from the engine moving. i have chained both my engine mounts and made plates to stop the engine moving forward.

well i no longer have nissan engine or mounts i have a 5.0L that keeps breaking engine mounts :D

the holden engine mounts are just as bad . to be safe i would chain any 4wd engine mount.

chain from the bolt that holds the engine mount plate to the block and the other end to the bolt that runs through the mount into the chassie plate.
it doesnt need any play in it as it will stretch a little after a few big jumps :lol:

hey bartso make sure you give me a look at how ya done dual transfers in a swb, have you moved the rear axle back to fit them in?, when you get your ride back on the road we'll have to go for a play.
On the engine mount front still trying to get in touch with Cheezy, seems like a common problem.
