Ok guys haveing a brain wave here.
twin cam have distributer's and i can get an adaprtor so my dizy will fit, but will the standard inlet maifold of a single cam fit? coz that would be awsome, no computer

any thoughts?

more power, and a better/stronger engen. injection sucks if u spend 90% of your time in mud.

teh wiring for a gti is a nightmare... well to me it is, and a "long motor" is about half the price, and my motor is rooted so irecon it is the go.
anyway does any one know?

U still want to run the DOHC?

I know on the SR20 and FJ20 nissan efi engines, people do put double carbs on these.

I know the exhaust is different so i am guessing inlet is as well. You can prob make an adaptor easy enough. Not sure if the orig sierra carb can supply the juice for the twincam,

im thinking more along the line of webber, just get a bigger one than i have

i know of a guy with twin 45's on a 4age... holey sheep shit it hammers.

Twin webbers would be good. Dunno bout the fuel eco.

still a lot of work. EFI has a lot of advatages.

Supercharger is easier on efi as well.

Yeah, just get a loom with the engine.
I think it will be more trouble fitting a carby,adapters, you have to get the fueling right, wont have a fuel pump on the engine so you will need an electric one anyway, then you will have to try to make the distributer work as non EFI.

Some ppl just find the idea of carby easy in all honesty it beats me
(i can read wiring diagrams and injectors seem so much easier)

Still i think if you went carbie it's begging for a Kawasaki Vulcan (1500-1600cc) carburator throttle body (one carbie per cylinder!).. once more these kawasakis have external fuel pumps (unlike equiv suzuki bikes

)

I run a gti and find it brilliant in mud. Never had electrical issues, track driving and mud drags. The wiring is as simple as it gets on a efi engine (A mate did mine but even I followed it

) Would struggle to go back to a carbed 4by now.

i like i like i like i like i like. but where in hell am i gona get one? and what carbi's did u say bolted up? motor bike? One of the reasons i like carbis becasue I can tune them and carbi'd 4ages have more poke... we have proven it.

Yea the manifolds seem to be for twin weber 40dcoe side draught carbies. that would give some serious kick compared to the std 26/28mm throats of the std carb. 4x40mm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've seen a Sierra running twin Weber 40's on a GTI engine and I can tell you they howl ! I've seen this bloke spin the rear wheels after shifting into second on race type tyres...

Anyway, the Chadil site says Webers are no longer manufactured. Is this true ? Did anyone know about this or am I the last to know ?

If it's true, a big part of my plans have just crumbled...

Does anybody know where I can get a rebuilt or new Weber 32/36 DGV in Australia to fit the Zook ? I'd need to have it shipped over here (New Caledonia).
