junkyard turbo hj60

A quick introduction. I am based in California and am fortunate enough to drive a JDM hj60. Of course, fortunate is relative as you've got diesels everywhere and that's why you are the most qualified to help. I am trying to come up with a junkyard turbo set-up for the ole 2h. So far I have a turbo from a Benz 300sd and plumbing ideas from axt. My question is whether or not the exhaust manifold on the 2h can be flipped (like I know is done on the 3B) to allow for the fitting of an adaptor. If this is not the right place to ask could you please direct me elsewhere.

thanks for the response. i spend a bit (probably too much) time on ih8mud but there isn't that much info on the 2h as it was only in Canada for two years. That's why I came to you guys .
