Manual Glowplug button for 40series LC

Post by Chump »

HI guys

Just a quick question

I have a '78 40series LandCruiser and am having a few little probs with the glowplugs. I used to have a manual button installed where i could turn the key to accessories and press a button on the dash which would manually heat the plugs but i had a starting problem and when i took it to the auto elec he disconnected this button without my permission and removed the wiring stating that it wasn't needed. I now want to put it back in as the car is having a few troubles keeping the heat on a cold morning.

Can anyone please infrom me on how to put this back in myself? Keeping in mind this is obviously not the superglow system just the old turn the key back to glow possition to glow the plugs method.

Cheers in advance!

if i were you, id take it back to the auto leccy and tell him to put it back. did he give you the push button back, and cabling........if not than he has stolen it from you and should give it back. but befor you go off at him, just ask and make sure that this system wasnt actually causing the problem you took it to him for. he may have needed to remove it, but still didnt need to knock off the push button, if indeed he did.......
