How much better is the fuel economy from an EFI GQ, compared to a carby GQ?

Never had a carby model, but my current LWB manual EFI on 31's  gets about 15.5L/100 on the highway with a full length rack on...prob averaging 120kph....eben better I can manage to stick to the limit. Offroad without spanking it it's generally still sub 20L/100 loaded to the hilt.

...So not a great deal better on economy, but I'd say more reliable fuel delivery than carb.... unsure on the advantages on steep inclines also

I see about 16.8L/100km on highway and Sub 20L/100km off road with a 4.2 Carby.

Thanks, sounds like there is not much difference apart from reliability of EFI

Interestingly my mate runs a carby 4.2 and it runs fine on any angle we have had it, including it leaning on the front guards and still driving - he was considering going efi not not so sure
