Leaf sprung GQ LWB wagon?

Hi Guys,

New to 4wd's and am looking at an "88 LWB DX GQ Diesel wagon next weekend, someone mentioned leaf sprung in another post i thought only utes had this set-up please correct me if i'm wrong.

if itsdefinatly an 88GQ it should be coils, ive never seen a LWB or SWB GQ with leafs,

If it's a GQ LWB it should definitely have coils, but I think some of the early ones still had rear drum brakes so watch out for that - drums suck.

If it's an early DX I think that means it will have the little quarter windows on the front doors and not have all the gauges in the instrument cluster.

Let us know what you find.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the replies, this forum has been a huge help with research for my decision to go for a GQ. Don't know if this one has drum brakes but will replace if req. has no quarter vents in front windows and not sure about the dash but has quite a few extras. Replied once already but don't where it went still learning.(':?')
