At some spots Moose we said stuff the time a photo is more important, our main aim was to finish the event and have some photos to remember it by.

The rocky section you see in the photo is actually supposed to be the easy route round the hard section which was the 2 1/2 meter vertical rock wall Sam mentioned.

Were they meant to go up that wall.

That would have been cool, how come they didn't?

max wanted to keep the underside of the jeep in tact, he took the easy route. from what sam and i saw this easy section was just as hard as the rock wall. this where the winch motor burned out and we were left with only 15mtrs to the finish gate and 2 mins still on the clock. the winch motor shorted out all of the electics including the engine. took us about 20 mins to get it going again.

I have never seen a highlift jack used in so many ways, Sam used it on every angle imaginable to try to get Glens car up that wall.

drafty, sam and i were in group e, all the group were good people, it was good to see so many differant vehicles at work and the way teams worked together. the most enjoyable section for me was Poolamica rock run, 13.5 klms of rock, sand and water. being able to drive like a loonatic is fun.

Thanks for the photos Drafty. That rock section looks harder than all the stages put together last year.
Sounds like you guys all had an awesome time, and I assume you'd like to go again next year? I'll be there. Probably officialling again.

Yea it certainly was tough, especially on the first day of comp. Thankfully it got a little easier from there on.
