Zuk on 26’s… SPOA is illegal so I think you should look at something different and maybe a little easier to reverse. Tripod payed 2000 for his spoa, which is about what you will pay. Now I’m guessing you will want to fit tires later. In my experience I would recommend a 31 max for a standard wheel base (with perches drilled). Personally I would go a 2â€

Yeah dude I wouldn’t go SPOA with standard NT diffs and 29’s. A friend of mine did it and it was vay to unbalanced. Because your tires fit without any mods you could get some lifted springs. Just make sure they are soft enough to flex.

The other issue with lifted springs is that it just moves the dif away from the bump stop. But if I was to fit 31’s and not extend the bump stop, at full compression the tires will still hit. A with a BL it moves the body away from the tires at full compression.

Still a virtual lift can also help and is what I did in the past. This is another possibility for fitting bigger tires.

I can’t stress enough that a lifted spring isn’t going to give you a heap more flex. The key is a longer spring. Something like a RUF is a classic example of this. On the rear, “Suzyâ€

Don’t be put off champ, at least you won’t go hungry : )

Just do one bit at a time, when you have the cash. It’s a great way to learn how to save (something I seem to have forgotten)

Just get the car first then start looking at the most important things you want. Plan before you buy otherwise you will have to buy things twice, which isn’t fun at all.

Hell just to get you started I can give you some standard rims that have been cut and flipped for more offset. That’s a start.

Think about what you are driving, you will find even though something like Duncans rigs can get through a track, you will have just as much fun trying.

Anyway so what are you thinking at the moment? If we know what you want we can look at cheap options.

LOL u wil be saving for a while for any of those, remember petrol? When u drive around a bit thats about $40 a week.

Btw will it be a daily driver, up to college and back etc? If so u won't want to be driving on the mongrels all day u want a bald set of 31"s to if u have a gear reduction, or else on smaller tyres wyou will be going to slow... good gearing though, im sure the people overtaking you on the highway will love it lol!

Hey mate, most of these q's can be answered by searching or going through the bible...

quite a few people run the calmini gears - i havent heard of a breakage yet, which is why i bought some. theyre sitting in my room waiting to go in!

no point in doing diff gears and tcase gears unless youre running 36"... the cal 5.14's will see you up to a 32" tyre no worries.
