Post by bj42oz »

A new era in 4x4 comps is starting. We've got Calder Park Thunder Dome and Phillip Island Raceway tee'd up.

First round is at Calder Park on 10 and 11th of September.

Competitors and spectators wanted. Go to www.4x4supertrucks.com.au for more details.

See you there

Sounds like a similar event to Offroad Expo or The All Terrain Challenge that are allready running here in QLD.

Thats what we're aiming for, just within an hour of the CBD. Tracks will be similar. We don't have anything like that in Vic, We take off into the bush and come back later, so spectators don't really get a good look.

Nissan and Rover Guys, The Tojo's are signing up, where are you? Please note you only require a 4 point cage and helmets to compete. So any new guys jump on board.

This will be similar to All Terrain from Qld but will have better viewing, plenty of mud and slightly different rules.

The Thunderdome (Calder Park) is only around half an hour from central Melbourne.

It's about time we got some hard core 4wheeling into a good motorsport venue.

Just like the awesome WERock series, this can only be good for all 4wheelers.

We will be there as will Shane Barlow who made the Tuff Truck DVD.

Can't wait.

First ad for 4x4Supertrucks ran on 4wd TV tonight...had a great response. Also interviewed Colin about the event on site at Calder Park (next weeks episode).

Was a buzz just to stand in the Thunderdome...and walk out some of the proposed tracks.

Can't wait.

hopefully they don't have the same commentry as they did on the tuff truck DVD, cos that guy pisses me off. It was a 3 and a half hour episode of 4x4Tv. A half hour dose is enough of that guy. Maybe watch a few of the Yankee vids and get a clue on how to produce a sick vid!!!!!

while he's ok in small doses, i just feel a bit embarrased when he gets the info wrong, i wasn't at tuff truck, and knew gonads wasn't running the biggest tires of the competition :?

also, if matt and paul pisani are son and father IN LAW as we keep getting told in the video, how come they share the same last name? does that mean he married his sister (and still they'd be father and son) or did he marry his cousin?

but the missinformation aside, the guy, and the dvd was tops

Bad religion,

Matt and Paul are not blood related, the names are a coincidence just as if 2 Jones got together.

Hopefully they will both be down for the comp with Matt (Sold) Buggy.

I am for real, the guy is a tool, can't even get his facts straight.
Not only that, I have seen better productions from year 9 media students. Get with the times, people don't need all the technical waffle, they want something to sit down with their mates while they suck down a few cold ones that isn't so boring that they fall asleep.

Sounds to me like you should start producing your own videos seing as you know what everyone wants to watch.

So you dont like 4WD TV. I can understand this. Not everyone likes the same thing. But who is doing a better production? Who puts together a better video? I am yet to see an Aussie 4wd Video Produced thats any better.

As for getting HIS facts right just maybe they are not HIS facts.
