Agreed. If they want to watch it THAT bad, get someone to tape it!! I wont be sitting on my @rse watching TV - I'll be sitting on my @rse out in the cold watching REAL motorsport!! Sports can't grow without interest and support shown.

my main :? is that this year was going to be my first pilgrimage to the mountain... but i want to support cheesy et al and get high profile comps happening in vic... but which one to go to is the choice... i can't simply get someone to tape it, cause it's being there that was the deal

i'm a v8 fan, but i'd go away for the weekend to see werock over the v8's in a heartbeat, and this is coming from someone who's seen the buggy's in action tons of times now.

you mexicans should jump at the chance to see the buggy's on ya home turf, specially if its ya first time. you'll sh!t ya pants at some of the stuff they can drive compared to a normal 4by's  :P

Sell your tickets to Mt Panorama, and drag the kids/missus (whichever is applicable) out to enjoy some fun in the rocky slopes of the Murrindindi Shire.

hey, i dragged my ass from adelaide to bathurst to watch the last round, i'd be dragging my ass from adelaide to melbourne to watch this round... but just wish it didn't clash. it's not just the tickets, bathurst this year(v8's) was planned around a birthday, and we have a bus and everything paid for... so it's not as easy as selling the tickets

by all means, i'd love to see em on my ex home turf... but it's a tight position to be in

Guys i don't think it will really matter about what else is on that weekend.

I honestly beleive that this round will be the best so far and in fact i think it would be a better place for the finals, but hey theres always next year.

I think there will be plenty of spectators and competitors, the fact that it is so close to Melbourne is just awesome and i see there are plenty of little towns nearby that no doubt will all want to get involved and see what all the fuss is about.

I say its time for people to forget about whats on and when, if you can make it thats great if you can't then at least buy the Mag and support the sponsors and plan for the WEROCK finals in November.

I am up for it and planning plenty of practice sessions between now and then. :D

Good work Cheezy, hobzee and Sam.

f*ck the bathurst 1000

the only entertainment is the action on the hill.

otherwise, its just heavy poorly engineered race cars going round and round and round

its so f ing boring !

anyone can go fast

get your shit on down to we rock if you want to see progressive motorsports

buy yourself a $2 ticket on virgin and rent a crummydore for your very own bathurst 1000, en route to we rock vic !

The plan is that Hobzee and Cheezy are going out to the site this weekend to have more of a look around and also to speak with the parties involved (council, landowner etc) and we will know for sure if this is a goer early next week.

Believe me - getting something new like this running on private property with unregistered vehicles isnt an easy thing to make happen and the guys are doing their absolute best to get this up and going.

Im just really glad that these guys are prepared to take this on (like what Sam keck did with Bathurst) Basically all Im doing is sitting on my arse in Qld and praying - we just need this to happen no matter what the level. Next year is going to be massive!!

I agree 100%, this is a new sport and needs as many spectators as it can get. Having it on a weekend that has another big motor sport event on (wheather you like that event or not) is just limiting the munber of spectators it might get.
Another thing to think of is the Vic Winch Challenge is on the weekend before and ALOT of the vicy guys that might come to spectate at Werock WILL be at the vic winch either competing or spectating or organising the event or marshelling. Now you might think ya so that is the weekend before, but ALOT of guys are married and have kids and CAN NOT go away 2 weekends in a row because of the effect it has on family life. This isn`t even taking in to concideration the effect it has on money going away 2 weekends in a row.

The Cheese mchine is broked and it didn't even get on the trailer. Darn pwr steering pump.

So we (5) all piled into Mrs Cheeses GQ for a drive. Sussed out plan A property and found another 2. One of the new properties brought on Fat Cheese.

All 3 properties are at Yea/Eurora - good for interstaters and 1 hr from melb.

Dates can be worked so Bathurst lovers can do both.

Going back out next weekend for a play - then pics.

he IS the bathurst debate!
the organisers seem to be trying to avoid the bathurst weekend. so bad religion is trying to get a confirmation so that he can decide whether to forego his bathurst tickets or not.

I for one am looking forward to sitting at home where there's no driving to sink beers and watch Bathurst all day. I'm also scoring and doing commentary at Vic Winch. So we have 2 weekends that WERock won't be run

Relax guys - I'm one of you lot and we will pick the weekend that best serves the masses.
