to be absolutely sure, post up the 'axle' code, from the build plate on your firewall. there are any number of people on here (or webpages out there) where you can look it up.

2.8 diesels are 4.3 dont know what petrols are fatty

Im pretty sure that all the Gen 1,2&3 hilux's/forunners with the 4cyl petrol's had 4.8 diff ratio's.
