Not sure about the jimny but a sierra usually sits around 3500 at 100.... well thats when you get it to that speed.

The easy way is to look at the flares, N/T are a lot smaller (in projection) and are usualy black plastic, W/T are larger and normaly painted the same colour as the car, all but the very early wide tracks were made of steel with the early ones plastic.
another way is to look at were the springs are mounted to the chassis, N/T are directly under the chassis, and W/T are mounted outside of the chassis.

that and the whole when it was built.. meaning a 88 model is the only year you got to worry if its an older NT or newer WT... \
besides then all you have to do is look at the dash, the rectangle centre console being a WT. \(hey i don't think there have been many 'dash swaps' for you to have to thrett over it)
