Tilt front on a 40

Post by tuff 45 »

Does anyone have any pics on tilt fronts for a 40 series and if anyone sells them. Thinking of welding my bonnet and guards up and turning it into a tilt front or instead of a tilt front welding everything togeather so the whole front lifts up towards the windscreen and not just the bonnet.

Thanks.

when i had my 40 series it had a front tilt it was cool the bonnet and guards and the headlight support panel were all welded together only prob was i had to mount everything so nothing was on the guards very hard to do i got the tilt front off a guy who had a V8 so would of been easier for him

yeah it aint as easy as it seems ive got 20mm angle iron running from the firewall to the front to run wires and stuff along aswell as mount my gas converter too

im fitting inner guards shortly but ive very happy with mine has given me a extra 5" of clearance for bigger tyres very soon on the cards

Thanks guys, i think i will weld it all up and lift it towards the winscreen like in the pic Matt 88 put up but first i am going to modify it like the pic of the red cruiser Bubs put up. If i go the other way and make it tilt forward the winch etc will get in the way. I have a small block chev in it with a spring over and it is a pain to work on in the engine bay. Thanks again guys.
