what were you running shane to destroy 5?
Well, if you weren't banned from Overlander Forum you could have read the whole sad story.

--------------------------------------------------------------
Shanes words:
I let them down to 30 hot when i hit the dirt road just west of bourke and ran over something that put 6 holes in one tyre and i drove on it for a while with it under inflated but couldn't feel it in the mud, i think that is what stuffed that tyre.
A ceramic piece [part of a coffee mug or bottle] sliced through the tread area on another tyre and damaged the inside ... i let the tyres down to 26 after that and the tyre guy put two liners in that tyre which held air but it is not one i could trust.
i had a stone go through the tread and damage the inside on another tyre
but two plugs kept air in it but i cant trust that one either.
A rock thrown up by the front tyre sliced off the rubber valve stem and it now has two plugged holes in the sidewall probably caused by the going flat on a rocky road, this one will also be thrown out.
A root sticking out in a bulldust filled hole sliced open the sidewall on the fifth tyre.
The tyres were all under half tread and were around five or six years old with at least 70,000 kms out of them so i reckon i had a good run out of them.
i would have replaced them before i left if the bighorns had of arrived in the country in time but they didn't so i thought "she'll be right, i should get another trip out of them"
Think i might have been a bit wrong there
